PREMIERE EQUINE EDUCATION EVENT AND EXPO ATTRACTING TOP NAMES
Although it is still some six months away, The Mane Event Equine Education and Trade Fair already has a confirmed lineup of top equine clinicians for its October event including renowned Dressage coach Jane Savoie, Canadian Olympic Show Jumper Beth Underhill, Competitive Trail expert Tim Kimura and horse trainer instructor and judge Richard Shrake.
The Mane Event, which debuted at Chilliwack’s Heritage Park last year, is expected to draw even greater interest this year with its wide variety of clinics, demonstrations, entertainment and trade fair running October 21 – 23. Event organizers say they have already scheduled 80 educational events, covering every aspect of equestrian interest from recreation to western to high performance sport, and have already sold over 60% of the booths available for the trade fair which generated approximately $1.5-million in sales for its participants last year. Additional hotel rooms have been set aside in both Chilliwack and the Abbotsford area to accommodate the more than 10,000 people expected to attend.
The Mane Event has also drawn the interest of several new sponsors who have come on board with their support, including Horse Council BC, the official voice for the horse industry in B.C. which has 19,000 members. The Mane Event weekend coincides with Horse Council’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations. The official Show Guide sponsor is GaitPost Magazine, which has just announced that it has been awarded the contract to publish Equine Canada’s official national publication, HorseLife. Also coming on board this year are Pinnacle Pellets Inc., Barr Group Enterprises Ltd. and Schleese Saddlery Service Ltd.
