THE MANE EVENT COMES TO WASHINGTON STATE

Horse enthusiasts from Washington State, through Oregon, down to Northern California and across to Idaho will have the opportunity to experience The Mane Event Equine Education & Trade Fair (USA Pacific) when it comes to Vancouver, WA February 17-19, 2006.

The very successful format of The Mane Event (Pacific Northwest) in Chilliwack, BC which runs Oct. 21-23 will be mirrored at the new equine expo which will take place at the new 97,000 sq. ft. Exhibit Hall at the Clark County Fairgrounds. It will feature top international clinicians and presenters on all topics related to the horse, plus a trade fair that offers a wide selection of products and information. It will also hold the exciting Mane Event Trainers’ Challenge, a head-to-head competition in which three top trainers use their own particular training techniques to work with young horses. One of the trainers already confirmed for this event is Charles Wilhelm of California whose training methods are focused on improving the performance of both horse and rider in any discipline. He will be also be conducting clinics throughout the weekend.

Also confirmed as a clinician is Julie Goodnight of Colorado who is known for her upbeat and logical style of teaching and her ability to bridge natural horsemanship techniques with the principles of classical riding.

Unique to the USA Pacific event is a major art show which will showcase the talents of local western artists who will be displaying and selling their paintings, bronzes and pottery, all with a western theme. Details of this feature are still being finalized.

Organizers of The Mane Event say they are excited to be able to offer an international level educational and information forum at the new site in Washington. They are currently working to finalize all the participants, and have already confirmed several bookings at the trade fair. More than 200 exhibitors will be offering everything from bits to boots and tack to trailers. Organizers say although the site will be most convenient to people living in a different geographical area than the Chilliwack event, it is still accessible to horse enthusiasts from all over the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada who will find that different clinicians will be featured at both events.
