MEDIA INVITATION TO THE MANE EVENT
The Mane Event Equine Education & Trade Fair at Chilliwack’s Heritage Park(British Columbia) runs October 21 – 23. The event is the most comprehensive of its type in Canada, drawing exhibitors and clinicians from across Canada and the United States. Spectators, expected to surpass 10,000, are coming from all over western Canada and the U.S. and as far away as Nova Scotia and Yukon. There are many stories of interest to both equestrian and mainstream readers/listeners/viewers. We cordially invite the Media to attend the various events.
Over 150 trade show exhibitors and over 80 hours of clinics and demonstrations by such notables as US Equestrian Team Dressage Competitor and Trainer Jane Savoie (dressage coach for Canada’s eventing team), Canadian Olympic Show Jumper Beth Underhill, Tim “the Trail Man” Kimura, World Level Trail Course Designer and Competitor, and Richard Shrake, World and National Show judge for AQHA, APHA, and ApHa. A new exciting addition to this year’s Expo which is gaining a lot of attention is the Trainer’s Challenge featuring three trainers, three judges – and one winner! Top Canadian trainers Chris Irwin, Doug Mills and Jay O’Jay will showcase their skills over 2½ days in four round pen sessions leading to a final showdown and showcase Sunday afternoon. Saturday evening’s lineup of non-stop entertainment and demonstrations of equestrian activities such as “mounted shooting” is not to be missed!
These are just a few of the events that will produce interesting stories and photo opportunities. A media officer will be on hand throughout the event, and we will be happy to assist you with setting up interviews and photo ops and to suggest additional story ideas. A complete media kit with detailed information, biographies, etc. will be available.
To ensure that the Media has full access to the various events and reserved space in the media room we ask that you contact us ahead of time via e-mail or telephone.
