Listed below is detailed information on participating in the clinics at the upcoming Mane Event, October 22 – 24, 2010 in Chilliwack, BC. Please find listed below information on the clinics. Dressage with Charlotte Berdahl-Baker:
The cost for each session is $75.00 plus HST and includes a day pass (value $15.00) for the day of your clinic. Charlotte will be conducting 4 clinics at the Mane Event, they are:
Clinic 1: From the Judge’s and Trainer’s Point of View: Training Level Through 2nd Level (this clinic will run on Friday) Requirements: 2nd Level with scores of 65% or better. Number of Participants: 2
Clinic 2: From the Judge’s and Trainer’s Point of View: Second Level Through 4th Level (this clinic will run on Saturday) Requirements: 4th Level with score of 65% or better. Number of Participants: 2
Clinic 3: From the Judge’s and Trainer’s Point of View: PSG through Intermediare 1 Level (this clinic will run on Saturday) Requirements: Intermediare 1 Level with scores of 63% or better. Number of Participants: 2
Clinic 4: From the Judge’s and Trainer’s Point of View: Intermediare II through Grand Prix Level (this clinic will run on Sunday)
Requirements: Grand Prix level with scores of 62% or better. Number of Participants: 2
Bio for Charlotte Bredahl-Baker – Dressage:
Charlotte Bredahl-Baker was born and raised in Denmark. In 1979 she moved to the US where she has been training dressage horses ever since. In 1992 Charlotte was part of the US Bronze medal winning Olympic team in Barcelona with Monsieur and part of the US silver medal winning team at the North American Championship in 1997 with Lugano. In 2004, Charlotte's stallion, Windfall CB was named USDF Horse of the Year at Intermediaire I. In 2005, Charlotte and Eskada won CDS and USDF regional Championships at Prix St. George and Intermediaire I Freestyle. In the same year, Charlotte and Komo won CDS and USDF regional Championships at Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle. In 2006 she competed successfully on the Florida circuit and qualified Komo for the Grand Prix Championship at Gladstone as well as Eskada for the Intermediare 1 Championship. Charlotte is a USEF (S) and International rated (C) judge. This year she is the clinician for the USDF Adult Clinic series in all 9 regions. Charlotte is an official Selector for the World Games 2010. She was also a selector for the Team that went to Hong Kong in 2008. She is a member of the US Equestrian Federation High Performance Committee. Besides dressage, Charlotte enjoys tennis, ballroom dancing and mentoring children.
Jumping with Michel Vaillancourt:
The cost for each session is $75.00 plus HST and includes a day pass (value $15.00) for the day of your clinic. Michel will be conducting 4 clinics at the Mane Event, they are:
Clinic 1: Gymnastic Exercises/Flatwork Number of Participants: 4 – 6
Clinic 2: Line Control Through Balance & Rhythm Number of Participants: 4 – 6
Clinic 3: Course Simulation Number of Participants: 4 – 6
Clinic 4: Course Simulation Number of Participants: 4 - 6
Bio for Michel Vaillancourt – Jumping:
One of Canada’s top international show jumping competitors in the 1970’s and 80’s, Vaillancourt won an Bronze medal at the 1975 Pan American Games in Mexico City, an Individual Silver Medal at the 1976 Olympics in his hometown of Montreal, a Silver medal at the 1979 Pan American Games in San Juan, Puerto Rico and a Gold medal 1980 alternate Olympic games Rotterdam, Holland. A Senior Status National Hunter and Jumper Course Designer since 1985, he was promoted to FEI “I” Jumper Course Designer status in 1994, and remains one of only a very few Canadian Course Designers to hold this designation. He is also a Licensed Course Designer for the United State Equestrian Federation and Federation Equestre International. Over the years, Vaillancourt has designed courses for some of North America’s most prestigious horse shows including Spruce Meadows, the North American Young Riders’ Championship, the
Nutrena/Western Hay Wellington Classic in Wellington, FL, the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, ON and the World Cup Grand Prix. Vaillancourt has also officiated at many international events including the: Royal Winter fair World Cup Toronto Canada; the Winter Equestrian festival CSI 3 Wellington USA; the Tournament of Champions World Cup in Tampa, FL; the Pennsylvania National World Cup Harrisburg; the Ugar World Cup Ribnica in Slovenia; the Show Park of San Diego World Cup Del Mar; the Folsom Spring Classic LA; The Oaks CA; the Cleveland Grand Prix OH; Kentucky Horse Park KY; the Knoxville Fall Classic TN; he Tucson Horse Show AZ; and The Atlanta Fall Classic GA. Vaillancourt was the National Coach for the Canadian Equestrian Team from 1993 to 2000, and took the team to the 1994 World Championship, the 1995 Pan American Games and the 1996 Olympics as well as several Nations’ Cup victories, he also served as the Chef d’equipe for Canada at the 1994 World Championship La Hague, Holland. He is also one of a handful of Canadians to hold the Jumper Level 4 Coaching Status and was named Jump Canada’s Official of the Year Award in 2006.
Barrel Racing with Marci Powell:
The cost for each session is $50.00 plus HST and includes a day pass (value $15.00) to the expo for the day of your clinic. Marci will be conducting four clinics at the Mane Event.

Bio for Marci Powell - Barrel Racing:
Marci Powell is a CPRA/WPRA Professional Barrel Racer who has been in the top 15 Canadian Professional Rodeo Standings twice, and has qualified for the Calgary Stampede 4 times. She won her first professional rodeo in 1984 at 16 years of age, and set a CPRA record for winning the Richest Professional Barrel Race in Canada. She held that record for many years on a horse she trained herself called "Barney". She has also been a FCA, LRA, & WRA finalist, as well as many wins and placings at Futurities & Derbys. Marci has trained a lot of horses, many of which have gone on to great success with other riders, something Marci is very proud of, and strives for as a trainer.
Reining with Aaron Ralston:

Bio for Aaron Ralston – Reining:
Aaron Ralston was born and raised on his family’s ranch in Western Colorado. Horses have influenced his life from his early rodeo career to his accomplishments in reining and working cow horse competitions all over the world. Aaron was the 2004 AQHA Sr. Reining Reserve World Champion and in 2006, he was part of Team USA at the World Equestrian Games, held in Aachen, Germany. Riding Smart Paul Olena, Aaron led the Team to a Team Gold Medal and took the Bronze medal in the Individual Reining Competition. Aaron is also the host of “The Ride” which airs every Monday on RFD TV. Horsemanship with Michael Richardson: Clinic titles to be announced shortly. Bio for Michael Richardson - Horsemanship: Horses have been a big part of Michael’s life since childhood. After a jeep accident left him a paraplegic. Michael discovered he had to approach horsemanship from a new perspective – a perspective which taught him a better and more positive way to communicate with horses. The result is a training methodology that will help even the most able-bodied learn how to achieve better performance by creating a harmonious, balanced relationship between horse and rider. Michael has been involved in the engineering of a prototype saddle that fulfilled his needs and is a sought after presenter at numerous horse expos around the country.
Horsemanship with Robin Gollehon:

Bio for Robin Gollehon – Western Pleasure & Horsemanship:
Robin and her husband, Roger have been raising, showing, coaching and training pleasure horses for the past 30 years. They attend AQHA shows as well as NSBA shows throughout the country and you can expect to see them at major events such as the Tom Powers, Reichert Celebration, Southern Bell, NSBA World Championship, All-American Quarter Horse Congress and AQHA World Championship. They also attend APHA and ApHC color breed shows from time to time. They are involved in showing customer’s horses as well as
coaching students at the shows. Robin is an AQHA Professional Horseman and a multiple world and national champion Western Pleasure competitor and trainer. She has been a member of “Team Horse and Rider” since its inception in 2005 and has been featured in numerous articles in Horse and Rider Magazine. Robin and Roger stand the 2009 NSBA Horse of the Year “Good Cowboy Margarita” at their facility in Kentucky.
